His two sisters Margaret “Aunt Sis” Bell Merritt of Boguechitto, MS and Margie Green of Jerome, AR. He is survived by his wife Tammy Lynn Bell, one son Jimmy and wife Connie Bell, of Lake Village, AR, three daughters Kimberly Ann and husband Darin Graham of Lake Village, AR, Karla and husband Mike Albritton of Monticello, AR, and Bridgett and husband Brandon Knight of McGehee, AR. was preceded in death by his first wife Brenda Sue Bell, Parents brother, David Bell Step-daughter, Debra Bradley one grandchild T.J. He served in the Army from October of 1961 to June of 1967 when he was released back to State of Arkansas National Guard where he continued to serve for four more years. He is the son of the late Lonzo and Ruby Bell. He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy E Orrell, of Monticello father-in-law, Glen Turpin, of Harrisburg, Ark. He was known for his dancing skills, quick wit and the way he made every person he met feel special and left them knowing they had a friend for life. He was a mentor to many, leaving a legacy wherever he went. Most importantly Lewis was a husband, a father, a grandfather and a friend. Even while pursuing other careers, he still trained horses, and their riders, part time throughout his life. He won many cutting horse competitions and was the National High School Rodeo Champion in 1969. He began riding horses early in life and the passion never left him. Lewis had many careers over the course of his lifetime, but his one true love was as a cutting horse trainer. Lewis was of the Baptist faith and was ordained as a Deacon at Collins Baptist Church, where he also served as the song leader and Sunday school teacher. ![]() He married his wife of 46 years, Peggie Turpin, on Jan. He was a 1972 Monticello High School graduate. 10, 1953 in Dermott to Jimmy and Sug Orrell. 19, 2020, at his home in Monticello, surrounded by his family and friends, after a hard-fought battle with Leukemia.
